In a rare update posted to Twitter this morning, the studio has said: Sidebar Games confirmed that the game was being delayed last August, and we haven't heard a peep about its development progress since. It's right up there with the most anticipated indie games headed to Nintendo's platform, but its original "mid-2020" launch window came and went without a release. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Indie World Showcase, not only being one of the highlight games of the event, but also causing a great deal of excitement among fans who had played the original. Back in 2019, Sidebar Games revealed Sports Story, an upcoming sequel to the excellent Golf Story that's planned to launch as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
